Mike Taylor

Wellington and New Zealand Canoe Polo player Mike Taylor is an up and coming inspiration to future representative players. Mike’s career hit a high in 2003 at 15 when he went to watch the Hawke’s Bay men play in the Canoe Polo National League.

He was asked to fill in for a Hawke’s Bay player that weekend and two weeks later, played again for Hawke’s Bay. He was invited to attend their training sessions and from there was included in the team; the rest is history.
